It's definitely no coincidence that the heated campaigns of the upcoming Israeli elections, called for April 9, 2019, are happening right now, in the weeks that precede Purim.

Would you like to know where you can read more about Israeli elections, from a really reliable source? Try the Megilla of Esther.  G-d willing, I'll show you where and explain everything in today's emuna lesson.

You won't want to miss today's emuna lesson and live broadcast from Jerusalem entitled "Separated, or One", which will take place, G-d willing, on the ground-floor main sanctuary of the Chut Shel Chessed Yeshiva on 13 Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem at 7 PM Israel time; the shiur is open to the public - both men and women are invited. You can see today's lesson here - the broadcast, as well as our lessons posted from now on - are Mac and iPod compatible. Rebbe Akiva's Emuna

Rebbe Akiva's Emuna
I have a few heroes in life, but Rebbe Akiva tops them all. He came from a modest background with no silver spoon in his mouth. His native abilities were limited. The high-brows scoffed at him. But he surpassed even the greatest of his generation. What made him so great? His perseverance and his quest for emuna.

People ask, why did Rebbe Akiva leave his two great teachers, the generation's leading scholars Rebbe Yehoshua and Rebbe Eliezer, to spend 22 years learning from Nachum Ish Gamzu?

You'll get an amazing answer in today's emuna lesson and live broadcast from Jerusalem entitled "Rebbe Akiva's Emuna", which will take place, G-d willing, on the ground-floor main sanctuary of the Chut Shel Chessed Yeshiva on 13 Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem at 7 PM Israel time; the shiur is open to the public - both men and women are invited. You can see today's lesson here - the broadcast, as well as our lessons posted from now on - are Mac and iPod compatible. The Masterpiece

Masterpiece

The above image represents a painting that should be hanging in the Louvre or Metropolitan Museum of Art and selling for a minimum of $26 Billion. You see here a montage of Hashem's creation, from macro to micro - the skies, the fingerprint and the DNA chain. This is an original masterpiece that no one can duplicate.

Cherished brothers and sisters, you too are original masterpieces; I'll prove it scientifically in today's lesson.

Don't miss today's emuna lesson and live broadcast from Jerusalem entitled "The Masterpiece", which will take place, G-d willing, on the ground-floor main sanctuary of the Chut Shel Chessed Yeshiva on 13 Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem at 7 PM Israel time; the shiur is open to the public - both men and women are invited. You can see today's lesson here - the broadcast, as well as our lessons posted from now on - are Mac and iPod compatible. The King's Driver

King's Driver
The man looked out the window and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. The young man who was about to take his daughter on a date just pulled up in the driveway in an $8 million Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero. Where did ever get such a car?

What's your dream, a new Mercedes? Or maybe your health is much more important. What are you asking for in your prayers?

Don't think that an $8 million Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero is a big deal to ask for from Hashem. You are certainly allowed to pray for it, or for anything else you want.

How would you like to have the ability to pray perfectly and to have those prayers answered? It's possible! Today's emuna lesson teaches us what constitutes perfect prayer, the type of prayer from which you never come back empty-handed...

Getting Past the Peel

Past the Peel
It's easy to peel an orange, but it's not so easy to peel away the many layers that we hide behind or disguise ourselves with.

The vast majority of society puts much more emphasis on external facades and impressions - the peel - rather than on the inner dimension, the true commodity of worth - the fruit. By doing so, people not only waste potential but lead unhappy lives. G-d willing, today's lesson will help us change all that and get a much better understanding of who we really are and where we need to go in life.

Don't miss today's emuna lesson and live broadcast from Jerusalem entitled "Getting Past th Peel", which will take place, G-d willing, on the ground-floor main sanctuary of the Chut Shel Chessed Yeshiva on 13 Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem at 7 PM Israel time; the shiur is open to the public - both men and women are invited. You can see today's lesson here - the broadcast, as well as our lessons posted from now on - are Mac and iPod compatible. Where's Daddy?

Where's Daddy
The little cutie in the above photo doesn't know where Daddy is. To make things worse, all types of things in the environment are frightening him - a barking dog, a police siren and people with mean looks on their faces. Our toddler didn't intend to lose connection with Daddy when curiosity called and lured him to wander away. The world looked like a lot of fun; but now, without Daddy near, it's ever so scary...

The above is a mere parable.

Our souls are just like the toddler in the above photo, with tears of trepidation trickling down our spiritual cheeks. No wonder our emotions aren't on an even keel, because emotions come from the soul.

So what's the solution?

Return to Daddy!

The prophet cries out to us in the Name of Hashem, our Daddy Above: "Return, mischievous children!" (Jeremiah 3:14). The word he uses for "mischievous" is shovevim, the acronym of the six-week period that we are in the midst of, a most opportune time to return to Hashem. Do yourself a big favor and read Return, Mischievous Children, my feature article in this week's special new issue of Breslev Israel web magazine.
