The Klausenberger Rebbe, of blessed memory

Tonight, 9 Tammuz, is the yartzeit of Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda Halberstam, the renowned Klausenburger Rebbe of blessed memory. One of the greatest, most beloved tzaddikim of this past generation, the Rebbe zatza'l lost a wife and eleven children in the inferno of the Nazi holocaust. He himself amazingly survived, while not compromising an iota of Jewish observance. With infathomable faith and inner strength, he built a new life in Israel after WWII, where he founded the Chassidic communities of Kiryat Zanz in Natanya and Jerusalem, the Leniado Hospital and School for Nurses in Natanya, the Home for Orphans in Natanya, and Miphal HaShas, the worldwide organization for the advancement of Talmud study. May his saintly and blessed memory be a advocate for all of Klal Yisroel, amen.
